Hope in Prayer Campaign
Greetings in Christ;
Hope in Christ Ministries would like to take this opportunity to invite you to become a part of their vision for 2009. A vision to get us focused and seeking the Lord on behalf of our families and the many needs that we see and hear about every day.
We think of Psalm 5:3 that states, “In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before You and wait in expectation.” God’s word says, “Before they call I will answer; while they are speaking I will hear” (Isaiah 65:24). What a God we serve! He is longing to hear from us. Sometimes as a family, we are careless and become so distracted with other things that we fail to express affection and appreciation for each other. We also fail to take the time to truly understand truly, to honor each other in word and deed, to build each other up in the faith, and most of all, to assume spiritual responsibility for each other through fasting and prayer. We are the instruments through which God moves. Unless we pray, God will not work through us. Our focus is to intercede for the lost. We all know someone who is away from God and God does not want to see anyone perish. Surely as Christians we can sense that God’s return is very close. There is an urgency in our spirits to not only to fight for the family, but also to pray to the Lord of the Harvest to send workers and to convict by His Holy Spirit so that all our family members will be found in the Kingdom on that great and glorious day. We must pray that:
The goal of this prayer campaign is for family members to set aside 1 day a week to fast and pray for the various needs in our individual families. If individuals cannot fast for a full day then do the best that you can. Have your family members put together a list of prayer requests and email it to a you, or someone else who is willing to be an overseer or contact person, so that a master list can be formed and sent out to all of your participanting family members at the beginning of each week. This way everyone is praying for the same needs. Try to arrange it so that everyone is praying on the same day as a unified group.
To get started and while waiting for requests, you can:
Our encouragement to you as you embark upon this prayer journey is found in the following Scripture: I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may
give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and His incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of His mighty strength, which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at the right hand in the heavenly realms… (Eph 1:16-20)
We are very excited and looking forward to seeing God move in all of our families as His people fast and pray. Be encouraged and go after the answers to your needs.
